“After over 30 years in the pest control industry, I have a strong passion and love for what I do. We are a team committed to making every client completely satisfied with the service we deliver, and we are keen to give back to the local community. Please don’t hesitate to call me or any one of the team if you think we might be the company for your job.”
Mark Haynes – Director of WANT Pest Control
WANT Pest Control was founded in late 2021 in Port Hedland by Mark Haynes to bring back professional customer-focused communication and treatments to the Pilbara. WANT Pest Control has steadily grown and regularly services clientele from Denmark, WA, to Darwin, NT, without losing focus on the Pilbara.
The WANT Pest Control family has expanded with Jackie joining Mark in 2022, Jammo joining in 2023, and then in 2024, James and Stuart joining as technicians and Chloe joining the administration. Primarily residential and community-focused in 2021, WANT has expanded to all facets of the pest management industry, now conducting regular Commercial, Mining, Industrial, and Remote Community & Fumigation services.
We have not forgotten to give back to our Pilbara community. WANT Pest Control sponsors local charities, individuals, and sporting groups. Based on our core business foundations, we expect to grow to a third Pilbara-based technician in early 2025; no limit is set for the future. We hope that you will meet one of the team soon.
We deliver exceptional pest control services across residential, commercial, and industrial properties in WA and NT. Our comprehensive electronic reporting by ServiceM8 ensures all service aspects meet client expectations before we leave the site. We are proud of our technicians and how they look in their industry-appropriate uniforms, embroidered and provided by Totally Workwear.
Our team stays up-to-date with the latest industry advancements, partnering with organisations like Garrards, Ensystex, and Trical to provide the most advanced and effective pest management solutions using only APVMA-approved chemicals.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. We strictly follow Australian-approved safety protocols, using only certified chemicals and adhering to the highest industry standards for protection and compliance.
We are dedicated to giving back by employing locals and supporting Indigenous trainee programs. With deep respect for Indigenous cultures, we have extensive experience working within local communities, ensuring our services are delivered with cultural understanding and sensitivity.

CEO & Technician
Certificate 3 in Pest Management with additional endorsements of Fumigation. Current WA and NT Pest Control license. 30 years of experience in the Pest Control Industry across NSW, QLD, NT and WA. Qualifications include MSIC, First Aid, White Card, Police Clearance, COVID Certificate, and WA Drivers License.
I began my pest control career over 26 years ago with my family’s established business in the New England areas of New South Wales, gaining extensive expertise in managing termites and general pests through hands-on experience alongside seasoned professionals. This foundation opened opportunities to work interstate and, soon after, Australia-wide, where I deepened my knowledge of tropical pest control in Queensland. With a pest control license and a drive to broaden my skills, I developed expertise in varied building structures and collaborated with other industry specialists. My career then took me to Central Australia, where I gained valuable experience in remote Indigenous communities and large remote stations, ultimately leading me to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Recognising a need for elevated professionalism in pest management in the Pilbara, committed to raising industry standards to serve the region’s unique needs better.
In my spare time, I like to eat well and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. I enjoy motorcycle road trips and really enjoy the open environment, whether it’s the ocean or the countryside amongst the hills. I also enjoy catching up with my close mates and making sure we are all still having a laugh at each other.
